Today in RE we have read and listen to the gospel about Jesus Last Supper and we  unpack the gospel which means discussing , asking questions and making a meaning. We  illustrate the gospel and the last supper with the disciples and Jesus, with the wine and beard and jesus blessing it. Here is my Drawing   
 

Mele - My Digital Footprint Cybersmart Challenge 13.

 Today in Cybersmart, i completed challenge 12. This Challenge is about what sites you have visited in the past 24 hours, and we had too put foots and seem look likes it walk in the beach, but all the sites are walking at the beach. If sites are bad then you must have to leave them out. Here is my Activity.  

Mele - PLants Creative Writing

Today in writing and Inquiry We used descriptive words and words that related to New Zealand Native Trees and plant, First I completed a 100 word challenge about my native tree. After that i made an slide activity about my native tree i working on. Here is my Activity and Writing.  

Mele Creative Writing 

I am a New Zealand Native Tree, my bark is dark brown and spiky at the bottom. If you feel my bark it will be very rough, my leaves are long,flat, green and spongy. My leaves will start to turn white  in three to four years. I really like the flowers that I have on me. They are White with a little yellow. They have a green stem, and if I am not grown yet I am purple. I can also grow up to 12 meters. You can find me near Streams and other wet

areas. 

Mele - New Zealand Native Tree Project - Ponga Tree

 Today my group and I explored a Native Tree, and the Tree was an Ponga Tree.We are learning about New Zealand Native Trees, because it is important to all pacific islanders, and it can help us when we are sick. Some plants can be used for medicine like a Kawakawa, we did an activity about our Ponga tree, and explored all the different thing in it, I also made an word art .Here is my activities.

Mele - Plants in a Different Environment.

 On Tuesday the 17th May, Saint Theresa Whanau Group, made a Diorama about  Mangroves Environment at Tahuna Torea, first we started to get the materials for the Diorama where was Tape, Gule, A box for our diorama, cardbroad, and coloured pieces of paper. Second we made mangroves which took a while but we did it, then we painted the box a sky blue and some clouds, then we started assemble everything, it came together, then we had some trouble but we snapped back , and not let that stop us, then we wrote some facts about the Mangroves, it really came together and  it looked amazing,after that we prepared for your presentation that we were about to have. If i was the Judge i would of said that we crushed it there. I was so proud of my Group up there, but maybe next time  we can just prepared just perpae little more. But we did an amazing job  up there. Here is an Picture of our AMAZING Diorama.

Mele - Feelings and States Maori

 Today in Maori TWP 4 are learning sentences in Maori and the first Sentence was Ke Te  Pehea ... Ahua. We did this activity about the sentence and how to reply and we had to choose five classmates to reply and the reply was ke te Ora Ahau, and ora means well, and they had to pick of what they are feeling right now.We are all learning to express how we're feeling in te reo Māor. My five Classmates where Moala ,Maraia, Melenaite, Ana ,Krystal. After that i did a screencastify with all their voices and now i am blogging it. I hope you like it. Here is my Audio and Activity.

Mele - Maths Strategy

 Today in math i have been answering Multiplication questions, useing place value. Today's hard question was 54 x 5, first of what i did was separated 54 in a tidy numbers  50 and 4 then I draw 5 circles and put the number in them and then i do, 5 x 4 = 20 and then 5 x 50 = 250 and the 20 + 250 = 270.Therefore 54 x 5 is 270. 

Mele - Tahuna Tōrea Mind flow

 Today in Inquiring, TWP 4 did this activity about Plants and Tahuna Tōrea, we first went back to Tahuna Tōrea and imagined that we were there and went back to when we had our moment of awe. If you don't know what awe is, it means like a moment of wonder. We made an activity about it . I hope you learn more about it, What we are learning about to allow our inner response to flow and be captured in words form.  Here is my Learning!!! 

Mele - Jesus's Ascension.

 Today in Religious Education ( RE ) TWP 4 are learning to recognise that Jesus promised a place for people i n Heaven. My whanau group St. Therese, has some year 5 and 6 in there, so I worked with Xavier, t get this activity done. The activity is about "What we know about Jesus Ascension", and the meaning of Ascension is like when Jesus went up into heaven, Ascension means up you go up in the sky.  I had fun working with Xavier and finishing this activity . Mele - Trees Talk to each other.

 This  week i have been reading this article  about how "Trees Talk to Each Other". In this one study Suzanne Simard watch a Douglas Fir being attacked by insects and sent warning to pine tree and the the pine tree sent defense to the Douglas Fir and protective the Douglas Fir.Did you know that Trees can talk to each other in cooperative ways. I have learned new words and found the meaning to them, and I have retold part of the sorry if you want to read the whole article, Link. Here is my Writing.

say suzanne grew up in Canadian  forests, and then she became a

forest ecologist. She is now a professor at the University of British

of Fungi. In one study Suzanne watched a Douglas Fir (a plant) that was

being attacked

by insects then in some way sent warning signals to a pine tree for

defense enzymes to protect the Douglas Fir against the insects.

Mele - How Māui Slowed the Sun.

 Today TWP 4 and I have been reading the legend of How Māui Slowed the Sun, this story is about when Māui and his five brothers including himself. Māui wanted to slow down the sun so he gathered up his brothers and gave them an plan, the first step was to cut the flax so they can make ropes  so they can snare  the sun when he wakes up. Then the sun woke up  and then they snare the sun and then Māui got up and banged  the forehead of the sun with the jawbone of his grandfather, then the brother lowed the ropes and  the sun  was tried and from this day on  the sun goes slower  and we have more time to do work. Here are some question I answer. 

Why does Maui want to slow down the sun?. So he can have more time to work. Why did Maui’s brothers not want to join his plan? They were not very happy but they help cut the falx.  Why did they approach the sun during the night? So when the sun comes up they are ready.  Is this story a legend, myth or fairytale. I think this is an Legend.

After that we weave  with two different colours and weave and then we got prats of the story an drew the prat in light pencil and then went over it with an black maker. Here it is.   

   

Mele- Tidy Drive - Cybersmart Challenge 6

Today for Cybersmart have done an other Cybersmart Challenge, The Challenge is number is 6 it was about tidying your drive and more!!. I really like how i got to clean out Johns Drive and put thing in the right folder that was on o the three activities. I really enjoyed clean my drive and i think you can clean out yours to. Mele - Dinosaurs Timeline

 Today in Science TWP 4 and I have been looking at Dinosaurs that were here before us. Today we are studying three types of dinosaurs,  Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic. Did you know that there were no dinosaurs at the time that the Triassic period came , and that in Cretaceous period came there where still thing that are here today like , Bees , Butterflies,ants,grasshoppers and Aphids.

I really like how i found interesting facts about these three dinosaurs and how i got to write about them to you. I really think if you like science and if you don't, still have look and think that it is interesting. Here is my activity.

  

Mele - Gender Ground Rules.

This week for Writing/Reading i have been working on this project that is called Gender Grund Rules. Basically, i have been doing activities that include men and women. I read this Comic Stirp  that was aboout this girl Charlie she didn't believe herself that she can't d this math homework and she said

 " Boys are better at Math and Geometry", then her friend Monique sted i and said "Do you need help" and Charlie said "yes". So then the worked on the math and she did it , Charlie said " You can do anything if you put your mind to it". I really loved that part because she gave Charlie encouragement that she could d anything if she put her mind to it. The activities I did was answer 4 questions about the story, MAke and Venn diagram about two female people that became successful, and make a Poster to encogment woman to keep on doing on what they are doing and never to give up. I really enjoyed  making the poster the most because i get put key words in there to encourage woman/girls to follow their dreams. I think yu will love it to. Check out my activities

Mele - Math Starters - Addition Pyramid

 Today i have completed an math starter, todays math starter is an Addition Pyramid. The Addition Pyramid was a pretty easy task , i think that i need to be more challenged and  it can get harder if you see any mistakes than you can comment and say that i did this wrong and i an fix it up.   

The one thing that i found hard was where to put the numbers i forget where to put the 1 and the 0 for 10in decimal (1.0). Other than that i think I know that you will like this activity I put together. Vheck out my Activity Below. 

Mele - Ki O Rahi

We have played Ki O Rahi and we have been working about the legend of Ki O Rahi. Rahi married a beautiful girl named Ti Ara. The Patupaiarehe visited the village that Rahi lived in. The Patupaiarehe took Ti Ara and Rahi tried to save Ti Ara. He had to go through some obstacles which are positions in the real game. The name's of the obstacles are Tupu , Te Roto, Te Ao,Nag Pou, Pawero, Te Ara,Te Marama and Te Wairua. The teams are kioma and taniwha, Kioma is the team that runs and touches the poles and then g to the middle and score a point, taniwha is the team that try to hit the tupu and score a point but there are protectors to try and stop the key (Ball) to hit the tupu. I think that this game it great and that it i really productive and make you body moving, i know that you will love this game. I i think you will love this this activity i Everly, Meela , Sani , Audrey Jasma Solomone and I. We read the story behind Ki O Rahi and we read 3 parts each and rewrite it in our own words. Mele - Soul Friends Mass.

 Today for Saint Pius X School(SPX) we had a special mass. SPX celebrated three occasions,Ash Wednesday, St Patricks and Soul Friends. We horner St Patricks who is the patron of the Irish and the Holy Faith Sisters who started our school. More than sixty years ago,who were from ireland . They Brought  with them the beautiful ideas of Sul Friends.

Soul friend's mean they look out for each other like, when you see you soul friend and something i hanging out of there bags you go and help them out and put in back in there bags. You always look out for each other, care for each other and love each other. That my opinion what Soul Friends are.

 I created a DLO and made a grahed page about Soul friend , Saint Patrick's and Ash Wednesday, The only reason we did Ash Wednesday because we were in lockdown. I think you will really like this activity. Here it is.

Mele - Prayer to the Holy Spirit.

This week i have done an activity about praying to the Holy Spirit, this activity about when you choose a prayer that you have to work on and why you choose it. I choose Self control and Peace, because i  need to build on my self control and Peace to stop people fighting and make people make Peace, and my self control , and to control our actions and to make good choices. Mele - Math Starters & Activity.

 Today i have done an math starter and a math activity, my math starter for today was a number of the Day, I found it hard to understand the questions hard to read but my friends helped me and i got through it. Even if i didn't do my best i am going keep on trying until i get it, my message is to never give up when time are hard like this one. My math activity was about explaining two  questions that you found hard and  make an video of you explaining the Strategy you used, i really loved how you make the video, and how i got to share with you.
