Mele - Ordering Decimals to 2 Decimals Places

 Today for Math i completed an activity about decimals. I ordered decimals of 2 decimal places, i learned more about how to order decimals and how to order decimal with 2 decimal places. I had fun learning more about decimal, and stick around for another decimals places.   Here is my Activity.

 

Mele- Ordering Decimals up to 10.

Today for Maths i  have learned how to order decimals up to 10. I order decimal form smallest to Largest,but what i found hard was that there were only 1 number and i struggled but my  teacher helped me with that and what i found easy was that when i was ordering the decimals i just counted up to 10 but  stopped at the highest number. Today for reading, Twp 4 did current events. I read this article called "See Through Wings", this article was so good. I did some questions an Activity and  many more. Here are my Activities

In this  News Article I read that the main  group of people is a group  of  researchers from American University The key event from the news article is how the researchers find or look for butterflies with see through wings. This  event took place in South America ,Mexico or Columbia. This amazing event happened on the 1st of July.

This news article is about a group of researchers that works at a University in America that was reseahering butterflies and Moths. They wanted to see  what made wings and wanted to  see if there was something invisible.

Mele - Prototec Maths.

Today i did prototec and this Week i got 56% and Last Week i got 46%. I am very proud of myself and how i progressed in maths, What i did differently was that i was calm and was paying attention to the questions and if i didn't know then i would write it on paper and try and figure it out.Next time i will try and get a higher scoring. Today in Mth we did a starter called Prototec and I had to compare it from my last week result for the Starter.What i have done to improve more in my Prototec it that i took my time and figured the equations out. What i did differently was that i tried harder and i practice at home. I really like my result this week because i improved more. Here is my Results.

Mele - Arapū Māori, the Māori alphabet

 Today in Māori we have reflected on yesterday's activity and remembered the letters in the Maori Alphabet, and the Digarhps, Vowels and Consonants. We also played this game called Memorised. The game is about how your test your knowledge on Māori and other cultures and try remember the words,Spelling and meaning of them like, Daughter of Daughters Tamahine (Sorry for the macaron).

Mele - Joan Wiffen and Her Fossil

This week in science, i have been  studying Joan Wiffen and her Fossil's bones she have found, i found out that bones were hidden in rocks, and the bones she found was amazing i heard that she found a tailbone of a Theropod hidden in a huge rock, Her team used Hamer and little chisels to get  the bones out. I really like how i gt t make an activity about her and her fossil bones she found. I think you will really really like this activity i did. Here it is.

  

Mele - Iceland’s effusive eruption

 Iceland’s effusive eruption.

Glossary - fissure - a long, narrow opening or line of breakage made by cracking or splitting, especially in rock or earth.

The main group in this article” Iceland Effusive Eruption” written by New Academic are the people of Iceland,the key event in this article was a volcano that has not been activated over 800 years eruption on the 19th of March. The article that I read took place in Iceland, Iceland in the northern hemis and there are 330,000 people that live there. This happened at 8:55 19th of March 2021. 

Pablo Picasso Art - Cubism Final Drawing .

 Last month we began our cubes in protaras on Pablo cubism art. Cubism art is like when you drop something and cant put it together, but you use yourself and can play around with shapes, with you Facial Features like yu eyes,mouth,and ears can be in different places. We did one practice drawing before  we completed our Final drawing( you can read my blog with the steps and pictures Practice drawing). 

Something i found difficult was letting and drawing free, because i was drawing it perfect but i learned to let it go, What i interesting is that Pablo Picasso has 23 words in his name. Fun fact is he started painting at 7 and completed his first painting at the age of 9.

For this picture i wanted to focus on  drawing free and making things different shapes and in different places, to blend the colours and to mess around with the colors too. Here is my Final Picture.

Mele - Things About My Soul Friend.

 This week St Pius X Catholic school has been doing Soul Friends for over around 10 years. My soul friend is Fanofa. i like Fanofa because she is a happy kid, she like to play and have fun and  a Tonga girl. I really like her because she isn't afraid to speak and to say no to me. I really like her and i think that she is going to be a great leader one day when she grows up. Fanofa  made me a prayer card with my name on it, i really liked and how she thought about me. I really liked her card , i think you would to. Here is it.

 

Mele Responsibility Mat.

 Today In Religious Education  (RE) TWP 4 and I has made Responsibility Mats. These Cats are when we set goals and we work on them for the whole of this year, i think that was hard was that we had to colour and colour for weeks and then we finished it . I really enjoyed doing the activity with TWP 4. Something that i have learnt is that Responsibility is one  our 6 pillars of Saint Pius Faith, Here is My Responsibility Mat.
