Mele - Trees Talk to each other.

 This  week i have been reading this article  about how "Trees Talk to Each Other". In this one study Suzanne Simard watch a Douglas Fir being attacked by insects and sent warning to pine tree and the the pine tree sent defense to the Douglas Fir and protective the Douglas Fir.Did you know that Trees can talk to each other in cooperative ways. What is the article about?

Trees are social creatures, that can talk with each other in cooperative

ways, that hold lessons for humans, too, ecologist Suzanne Simard

say suzanne grew up in Canadian  forests, and then she became a

forest ecologist. She is now a professor at the University of British

Columbia.

Trees are linked into neighboring trees by an underground network

of Fungi. In one study Suzanne watched a Douglas Fir (a plant) that was

being attacked

by insects then in some way sent warning signals to a pine tree for

defense enzymes to protect the Douglas Fir against the insects.
