Mele - Helping Hand and Zentangles

 Last Week and This Week, We have been working on our Zentangles. Zentangles are a type of art, Zentangle are pattern that you draw in a small box or in a hand. Zentangle helps us be Zen and have fun with the partners. TWP 4  did Zentangle in a hand and outside of a had, the first thing we did was trace our hand on a piece of paper and draw Zentangle inside  or outside , i really liked this activity because we have fun and after lunch we can just calm down and have a nice zen time.  

I also did an activity about helping hands, he;ping hand is an activity, you have to pick five people and write how they help you and how you help them. I hope that you like my Drawing and my Helping hands, i also hope you have a try at Zentangles. Here is my Pictures.

Mele - RE- Advent Wreath

 Today for RE TWP 4 learnt about the four candle and the Advent wreath. First we said prayer and said some reading,second we write an paragraph about Advent. After that we drew an picture and added some decorations. I also learnt a few extra facts about the Advent wreath. Mele - Cricket Writing

 Today for Writing I wrote an recount about Cricket. On Tuesday the 30th of November TWP 4 and TWP 6 played related game to cricket, we had fun play game about cricket and playing with each other.I hope you like my Writing and have an great day. Here is my Writing. 

On Tuesday 30th of November at 9:10, TWP 4 & TWP 6  did Cricket with our

two coaches Brodie and Matt from Auckland Cricket. When Twp 4 did cricket we

learnt the basics of cricket and how to catch and aim, we also learnt new skills.

The first skill we did was throw a ball into the sky and catch the ball with two hands

or one. This skill helps us with catching and aiming in the sky. When I looked around

all my other friends were throwing the ball the highest they could and some people

dropped the ball, but they tired again and again . This skill helps me with my aim in

the sky and my catching. 

The second game TWP 4 and TWP 6 did was get into groups of 4 and 5 and throw the

ball around the group and get up to 10 without dropping the ball. It was hard at

first but then we all got the hang of it. When we got up to 10 we added an extra 10

and did 20 without dropping the ball. Then the coaches stepped it up and we had to

throw the ball and catch it with one hand, and then do 20 catching the ball with one

hand. This game helps us with our throwing and catching skills.

The third game we did was to get into two groups, one group was all the grey shirts 

which were most of the boys and the other group was  all the colours. This game is

very cool and fun game the rules of the game was to throw the ball and the other

team has to catch the ball if they don’t catch the ball then whoever is the most

close is out or if the person who catches  the ball and drops the ball they are out,

I was on the colo. The First game the Grey team won the second game the color

team won but the the coaches did an tiebreaker game and the COLOUR TEAM WON. 

This game helps us with our throwing and catching. 

The final game we played was a fun game, this game is based on your aim and my

aim is not that good, but we went into four groups  and there were three poles we

had to knock down. The coaches yelled “READY,SET,GO”. The first pole was knocked

down then the 2nd but then we had trouble with the third one but we tried our best

team 1 won. This game helps you with aim and throwing.

 

At the end we all came together and talked about all the things we learnt and what

was new. I really liked playing cricket with my friends and practicing throwing and

catching and the games. I really think my friends liked it too. I would like to do more

cricket again.

Mele - RE - The People of Advent

On Monday the 29th of November, for RE  TWP 4 were focusing on Advent and Lent. The activity I did was to match the sentences together. One thing i found easy was figuring out what was the answer but one thing i found hard was knowing what sentences was the right one but i think i got some right and wrong. Mele - Math - Prototec.

 Today for Math  I did Prototec, but i stayed on the same level, i didn't move to level 6 because I think I still need some work on level 5 but i will get there. I got 88% on today quiz and i was so proud that I beat my other score from yesterday. My goal  is to work on my grouping with 100. Here is my Activity.

Mele - PE - How Many Tuck Jumps can you do in 20 secondes.

Today for PE, my Melenaite and I did an PE activity together. This activity was about how many tuck jumps you can do in 20 seconds , tuck jumps are jumps where your knees touch your chest and you have to jump really high. Mele - Smart Media - Create your own Images "Sumo Paint"

 Today i did an Cybersmart about Sumo Paint. This Cybersmart was about Making a picture with Sumo Paint to match the text.  Sumo paint is an app that you can use to help develop your painting skill oor to just play around with. If you want to try out Sumo Paint, all you have to do is search sumo paint and it will pop up click it and have your fun.

Today was our first day back to school, because we have been in lockdown for so long. First we listen to a song called "together as one" by Andrew Chinn. Mele -Writing - Recount Writing

 Hello Everyone  for writing this week i wrote about my weekend and my long walk at Panmure Basin. I wrote about this because that was very good day and weather. I hope you guys like my writing and did some writing in lockdown. Here is my Writing.  

It was an early cold morning, and my brother Huti woke me up and told me that we

were going for a morning walk along Panmure Basin, so I got up and got ready for

my walk. We got into my big red car and drove to Panmure Basin. When I got

there the basin was so big there were bridges, a huge river and plants.

The walk at the basin was like a 20 minute but but there was equipment that

was set around the basin that helped us with the walk.

After the walk we went to get frozen fanta and also played a little after.

But what caught my eye was the orange flower. I don't know what it is called,

but it was orange and there was a bit of yellow  and pink in the middle.

After the walk and play we went for a long ride in the city and listened  to some

soothing music, we also saw different sized buildings , plants and other things.

But I also saw paintings that I loved also saw trees bent and made an arch and it looked beautiful. Later on we went for ride we went homemade burgers and

had a fun day that day, and I wish we can do that again.

 Today for RE i pretend to be in the future the year was 2121, We have cool , food, chairs,tables and technology to. Mele - EP ( Education Perfect )

 Today i worked on EP,( Education Perfect). Ep is a app that you can learn different words,colors and numbers in a different language and it can help you when you struggle. When you completed the activity you get to write and rate if this activity was helpful and if you are confident of what you learned, and if you want extra credit you can write to your teacher about how you feel about the app and what you learned.

What i found easy was doing the numbers because they sound exactly like tongan numbers that what is easy about learning numbers. Mele - Catholic Schools Day

 Yesterday  was Catholic Schools Day but as you all know we have lockdown but Saint Pius made it still happen. Saint Pius also had an Liturgy for all Catholics schools we were supposed to celebrated it with Saint  ignatius and Saint Michael but we didn't unfortunately. This Week i have been practicing  Chinese Phrases and i have been trying hard to get them down. I also found out what my Chinese name is they didn't have my name in chinese when i searched it up but, i use the chinese alphabet and found out my Chinese name. Mele - Mental Health Awareness Week.

This week is Mental Health Awareness week. This week it is all about taking care of our health. Mental health is an illness and can be debilitating for lots of people. Sometimes we can't control or explain our thoughts, feelings or emotions. Some ways we can help our mental health is by going outside, taking a walk, talk with a friend, to take time to yourself, playing outside with our brother and sisters, going to sleep early and doing a little bit of fitness.
